Edmonds Public Schools Foundation Receives $3,500 Wells Fargo Foundation Grant Awards

Lynnwood, WA – December 13, 2013 – Edmonds Public Schools Foundation (EPSF) announced today that they received $3,500 in funding from the Wells Fargo Foundation to support the Foundation’s afterschool study programs.
The EPSF is partnering with the Edmonds School District to help struggling 4th, 5th and 6th grade students gain extra support in reading and math.  EPSF’s afterschool study programs are specifically targeted to reach under achieving students, and are held at our schools that have the highest concentration of students enrolled in free/reduced lunch.

By helping our highest needs students achieve success in math and literacy, and teaching strong study and homework completion practices, we are giving them a leg up for future success, and keeping doors open to them that would otherwise close before ever reaching middle school. It allows us to support ALL students from pre-kindergarten to graduation to reach their fullest academic potential.

For over 25 years, the Edmonds Public Schools Foundation has supported students, teachers and schools by putting money we raise where it enhances student learning the most — directly into our schools and classrooms. With an all-volunteer board and active community participants, the Foundation has successfully provided Edmonds School District with a dynamic partnership in educating our children.

Edmonds Public Schools Foundation is co-located in the Edmonds School District offices at 20420 68th Avenue W, Lynnwood, WA   98036. 425.431.7260.
