Team Fundraising

Our new 5K event portal makes it easier than ever for teams to form, recruit team members and collect donations. When you join or donate to a team, you're raising funds for Foundation programs that enrich learning, expand academic opportunities, and meet basic needs so our students can truly thrive in school and in life.

Together, we're helping to build a healthy community where children and families have the tools they need to succeed.

Businesses and community organizations are welcome to take part. Make it a Friday afternoon team-building activity or a friendly office competition.

Classrooms and schools can earn money by forming teams of 20 or more people. Last year, teams from 23 schools took part. Schools keep 100 percent of the pledges they collect. The three biggest teams share a portion of event proceeds.

How to form a team:

  1. Go to our 5K event page.
  2. Click on the blue “Fundraise” button at the top of the page.
  3. Click on “Create a new team.”
  4. Name your team and upload a logo or image.
  5. Follow prompt to “Join” or “Create a login”
  6. Set a fundraising goal, share your page by email or on social media, and you’re off and running.

How to join a team:

  1. Go to our 5K event page.
  2. Click on the blue “Fundraise” button at the top of the page.
  3. Click in the “click to select team” box.
  4. Choose your team from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click “continue” and follow prompts.
