The Foundation for Edmonds School District has received three grants totaling $377,500, which the foundation said will strengthen and expand essential programs for students and families facing food and housing insecurity in the Edmonds School District.
A $212,500 grant from the Whitehorse Foundation will fund the district’s Family Resource Advocate program, enhancing comprehensive support services for families in need. Additionally, earlier this year, Verdant Health Commission awarded a $140,000 grant and a $25,000 grant was received from the Safeco Insurance Fund. The grants will directly support the Foundation’s Nourishing Network to help ensure no child in the Edmonds School District goes hungry. Click here to read the article on My Edmonds News.
