About WFWC
Building Stability, Opportunity, and Connection for Students and Families
When families are supported, students are better able to learn, grow, and thrive.
The Foundation for Edmonds School District’s Whole Families, Whole Communities (WFWC) initiative connects students and families with coordinated support systems designed to reduce barriers to success. Through partnerships with schools, nonprofits, healthcare providers, businesses, and community organizations, WFWC helps families access resources, build stability, and strengthen long-term well-being.
Launched in 2018 with foundational grant support from the Whitehorse Foundation and the Elizabeth Ruth Wallace Living Trust, WFWC was created in response to the increasing number of students and families in our district experiencing poverty, housing instability, and other significant challenges.
Today, WFWC continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of our community through collaborative, family-centered support, and expanded student opportunities, including our growing After School Program.
After School Program
Our afterschool program creates a safe, welcoming space where students can learn, grow, and building meaningful connections.
