Whole Families, Whole Communities

In spring of 2018, we introduced Whole Families, Whole Communities (WFWC) to provide coordinated services for our district’s most vulnerable students and families. With $175,000 in grant funding from both the Whitehorse Foundation and Elizabeth Ruth Wallace Living Trust, WFWC was developed to address the needs of the growing number of students and families experiencing poverty or homelessness.

The program is designed to help stabilize struggling households so that students succeed in school. This contributes to a higher quality of life over the long-term.

WFWC is collaborative partnership of a network of community organizations:

  • Foundation for Edmonds School District
